Can you share a memorable teaching moment or success story with Pamoja?
One of my students from the United Kingdom has developed a strong passion for the Chinese language and culture through the course. They have chosen Mandarin as their university major and have already decided to relocate to China to live and work after graduation.
How has teaching with Pamoja influenced or enhanced your overall teaching philosophy?
Pamoja brings together students from different parts of the world. This global classroom experience has broadened my perspective as a teacher and deepened my understanding of cultural diversity. It has influenced my teaching philosophy to be more inclusive and culturally sensitive.
What strategies do you employ to ensure student participation and active engagement?
I use a variety of online tools and diverse learning resources to engage students in online learning. Additionally, I get to know students on a personal level through group conversations and live sessions, similar to what teachers do in face-to-face schools. This helps students feel connected even though we are in different parts of the world.
