August at Pamoja is a bustling time of year. While our May session students and teachers enjoy a well-deserved break, our November classes continue, and preparations for the upcoming academic year are in full swing. Like all M2024 students and teachers around the world, we have spent the last few months eagerly awaiting the release of International Baccalaureate (IB) results.
Academic Excellence
We are thrilled to announce that 1,389 Pamoja students sat exams this May session. Over a third of our students achieved an IB6 or IB7 grade. 86.25% of our students received a passing grade, which is higher than the IB global average pass rate of 80.1%. The average grade our students obtained was 4.88, again surpassing the IB global average grade of 4.70.
As the world’s largest non-selective IB school, Pamoja welcomes all students and is committed to providing an inclusive educational environment where all students, regardless of their backgrounds or abilities, are given equitable opportunities to succeed. As such, we are extremely proud to have outperformed the IB world average for the fourth consecutive year. This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students and teachers alike. Although online courses can initially seem daunting, our excellent results demonstrate that distance learning is no barrier to academic success.

Savvy and Attentive Teachers
Predicted grades generated by subject teachers are an integral part of the Diploma Programme (DP) examination process. Accurate predictions depend on teachers having an in-depth understanding of both the course and their students’ attainment. At Pamoja, we are proud of how well our teachers understand our students and of their ability to build genuine rapport in a fully online context. Despite the mostly asynchronous nature of online classes, our teachers are clued into the needs of each student, and we are proud of the high-quality personalised feedback they provide to students to guide their learning. This year our predicted grades were within 0.17 of our students’ achieved grades, once again demonstrating the skill and experience of our teaching community.
