What inspired you to join Pamoja online teaching community?
The opportunity to teach IB students in a global classroom and work with teachers and students from all over the world.

Can you share a memorable teaching moment or success story with Pamoja?
One of my most memorable teaching moments was when I taught my first IB Psychology lesson back in 2009 and I noticed immediately how the students responded to the nature and demands of the course, as they were highly engaged and eager to answer the big inquiry questions about human behaviour. The IB and Pamoja have re-energised my approach to learning and teaching.

How has teaching with Pamoja influenced or enhanced your overall teaching philosophy?
Pamoja matches my overall teaching philosophy as I believe students learn more efficiently and faster when they are encouraged to become active, independent learners.

What strategies do you employ to ensure student participation and active engagement?
I maintain regular contact with my students, including KeyChat and one-to-one conferences in order to encourage and support students throughout the course. In online lessons, I try to get every student involved in discussion and use breakout rooms and activities to challenge them to get involved.
