Why should your child study online?

Our wide range of online International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) courses prepare students for life after school. The courses are stimulating and relevant, while the virtual environment provides a real student community, making contact possible between classmates and teachers all over the world.

Online DP courses equip students with essential skills and knowledge desired by universities around the world.

How does it work?

Students join a classroom of up to 35 learners from all around the world, and are given access to the course content through an online learning platform. The content is broken down into weekly lessons: each week, objectives will be introduced to help your child stay on track.

The course is mostly taught asynchronously using the materials and resources already available on the learning platform. Each student also has the opportunity to join a live lesson with their teacher every week, where they can interact with classmates and have their questions answered straight away.

IB DP courses available

We currently offer 17 subjects, available to all students who study the Diploma or Career-related Programme at an IB World School.

Flexible learning and face-to-face support: the Pamoja Taught experience

We met with Pamoja student and Global Student Council member Kaymin (Kay) and his father, Wayne Burnett, in Singapore in March 2018. Kay shared his experience of taking two Pamoja Taught courses; he explained how he benefits from the flexibility of learning online and enjoys the intercultural classroom environment.

Wayne told us that he has no worries about his son being taught online, as the Site-based Coordinator in school monitors Kay’s progress and gives him any face-to-face support he might need to ensure a successful learning experience.
