Pamoja Proudly Reaccredited by WASC

01 September 2025 2 mins read

We are delighted to share that Pamoja has been reaccredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), an internationally recognised mark of quality assurance that affirms our ongoing commitment to excellence in online education. WASC reaccreditation is conducted every six years and reflects continued adherence to rigorous standards of performance, governance, and student support.

This successful reaccreditation follows a period of significant development and innovation across our academic and operational practices. WASC recognised, in particular, the important advancements made in 2025 that strengthen our responsibility to IB schools and students worldwide. Among these is the launch of our School-Supported Self-Taught (SSST) Language A: Literature course. By combining purpose-built pedagogy, fluent IB-trained teachers, and robust progress monitoring, we provide schools with a complete solution that enables students to study Literature in their home language while maintaining the standards of the IB Diploma Programme.

Alongside this, we completed the transition to our new online learning platform, designed to place learning at the centre of the student experience. The platform offers a structured, engaging, and collaborative environment where students can benefit from both academic rigour and global interaction. Together, these innovations demonstrate how Pamoja continues to raise the standard of online IB learning and deliver with integrity on our responsibility to schools, students, and parents.

Reflecting on the achievement, Cathy Hitchin, Principal of Online Schools, who oversaw the reaccreditation process, commented:

“Achieving WASC reaccreditation is a proud moment for Pamoja and for our global school community. I am particularly encouraged by the developments we have made this year - from launching our SSST Language A: Literature course to moving onto a new learning platform. These innovations not only strengthen our academic provision but also reflect our ongoing commitment to giving IB schools and students the very best online learning experience.”

WASC reaccreditation is both a recognition of what Pamoja has accomplished and a reaffirmation of the standards we hold ourselves to for the future. With over 700 IB World Schools already working with us, we remain dedicated to continuous improvement, ensuring that students everywhere can pursue their passions, achieve outstanding results, and prepare for success at university, in their careers, and in life.
