Overview
We've compiled answers to the most common questions we receive about our online IB Diploma Programme courses, enrolment process, technology requirements, and student support. Our goal is to make it easy for you, whether you're a student, parent, or school coordinator, to find the information you need quickly.
Who are we?
Pamoja is a trusted partner to IB World Schools, offering flexible online IB Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-related Programme (CP) courses since 2009. Today, we work with over 700 schools in 100+ countries, supporting schools and teachers to expand access to high-quality education and empower their students to pursue their passions.
What is our relationship with the IB?
Pamoja is the only provider of online IB DP and CP courses approved by the International Baccalaureate (IB). We work in close partnership with the IB to ensure all our courses align with their educational philosophy and academic standards.
What accreditation do we have?
Pamoja is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) as a Supplementary Education Programme, and the International Baccalaureate (IB).
What are Pamoja Online Courses?
Pamoja Online Courses give IB students the opportunity to study IB DP and CP subjects that their school may not be able to offer in-house. Our courses are delivered online and can be studied flexibly around students’ in-person subjects, meaning they don’t have to switch schools to expand their choice of subjects. Students are supported by our team of experienced IB teachers, and follow a weekly study structure that promotes independent learning and builds future-ready skills in self-discipline and digital literacy. We regularly monitor students’ academic progress, with transparent reporting for schools and families.
What is the Pamoja Lesson Suite?
This offering is no longer available through Pamoja.
As a parent, how can I sign my child up for a Pamoja Online Course?
Students must register with Pamoja through their IB School. We do not. We do not accept direct registrations from parents or students. If your child is interested in taking a Pamoja Online Course, please speak to your school’s IB Diploma Programme Coordinator. They will be able to guide you through their school’s registration process, and help you explore the available subject options.
As a school, how do I register my students for a Pamoja Online Course?
Schools must be registered with Pamoja in order to enrol students. If you’re new to us, please reach out to our team through our Admissions page to connect with your regional account manager. They will talk you through the onboarding and registration steps.
How does Pamoja safeguard students' safety and wellbeing?
Pamoja is committed to protecting the wellbeing of every student in our care. All our staff undergo background checks and regular safeguarding training, and we have a team of Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) who are available during UK working hours.
We follow a strict safeguarding policy based on international best practice and UK regulatory standards. We take all concerns seriously, report theme immediately, and act on them promptly and appropriately. We also work closely with our partner schools, who remain the lead safeguarding authority for their students, to ensure all our students are supported and protected during their time with us.

- For all other students, invoices are usually sent out from mid-October, once enrolments are confirmed.
A regular invoicing run is performed after this period, as required, to ensure all new enrolments are captured accurately.
What are the payment terms and responsibilities?
Payment is due 30 days from the invoice date.
The school remains financially responsible for all enrolled students, in line with our agreements with examination boards.
If your school chooses to recover costs from students or families, your are still accountable for ensuring these payments are made on time and that full payment is made to Pamoja.
Invoices are issued per school cohort and cannot be generated for individual students.
Student reports may be withheld in cases of non-payment.
In cases of persistent non-payment, services may be suspended or withdrawn.
