3) Why did you choose to do a Pamoja online course?
I have a great interest in psychology and wish to pursue this subject at university. However, my school did not have a psychology teacher, so I had to do it online.
4) How has studying with us supported your future ambitions?
Hopefully the university of my choice will see that I have a passion for psychology and that I am very motivated because I chose to take the course online. I learnt a lot about the subject and feel that I have acquired a good knowledge base for when university starts.
5) What key skills has our flexible study approach helped you develop?
This course has taught me how to persevere and figure things out for myself to the extent possible before asking for help. It has also shown me the value of reading closely and actively, whereas in my other classes, I just listen.
6) How did engaging with our international school community help with your learning?
I really enjoyed taking this online class. With the deadline day being consistent, I was able to manage my time well throughout the course. Although it would have been great to take an in-person psychology class, my teacher was very good, and I also enjoyed the online discussions we had and reading my peers’ opinions.
7) What advice would you share with other students thinking about studying a Pamoja online course?
I would advise that they only take an online course if they need it for university or are really interested in the subject. If students use Pamoja because they think the course is easier (or a surer way to get a high grade) because it is online, I would suggest they think about it twice!
