3) Why did you choose to do a Pamoja online course?
I enjoy a sense of independence in my studies. I enjoy the open study mode and the weekly deadlines that encourage me to complete the work and take notes on a subject that interests me.
4) How has studying with us supported your future ambitions?
My goal is to study Business at university and to work in accounting, eventually. Pamoja has prepared me for these objectives through the Business Management HL course content. It has also helped me with my time management skills and finding my comfort zone as an independent student, which is good preparation for my future.
5) What key skills has our flexible study approach helped you develop?
I have learned the importance of meeting deadlines, being organised, and working independently with respect to my studies and timetables. From the start, I promised myself I would form new habits to ensure success, dedicating time each week to self-study, note taking, and my Pamoja assignments. I’ve also created weekly timetables for Pamoja study and tasks, and used specific study methods – like the red, yellow, and green flags – to get back on track and review what I may have missed. Pamoja has pushed me to perform well in all my classes, given me more willpower and stamina to meet deadlines, and helped me create good habits that will stay with me.
6) How did engaging with our international school community help with your learning?
I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to work with students from other schools around the world. I like that I’m able to meet new people and study in an academic setting with people I have never met before. It has allowed me to develop open-mindedness.
7) What advice would you share with other students thinking about studying a Pamoja online course?
Do it! It will challenge you and you will feel a sense of independence unlike anything you experience in face-to-face classes.
