How does Pamoja Taught work?

Teacher supported

We only recruit experienced teachers and train them in online learning methodologies. Student engagement and activities are tracked by Pamoja teachers to provide support at the point it is needed.

Progress monitoring

Schools designate a member of staff to be our first point of contact to keep track of student progress, and provide face-to-face support if needed.

Students use our online platform to access content at any time, interact with Pamoja teachers and join discussions with other students from around the world.

Studying Economics with a global perspective

Manaswi is a student at Dover Court International School, Singapore. Her school doesn’t have an Economics SL teacher, so she was offered the chance to take the subject online with Pamoja. During the course she got to know her classmates well, even though they live in different countries, and her learning benefited from their varied cultural perspectives.

What you’ll get

  • Wider range of subjects to choose from
  • Interactive and engaging courses taught by experienced teachers
  • Flexibility to fit the online course around your other commitments

How you’ll benefit

  • Gain practical experience of collaborative tools and digital technologies
  • Develop essential skills for success at university, work and life
  • Become an independent, self-directed learner

Watch our course demo

Pamoja Taught courses are prepare students for the same assessments as traditional face-to-face courses. We put together a video providing an overview of how our courses work from a student perspective, in this case, an IB Diploma Programme student.

What do students think?

Schools are responsible for registering students - get in touch to find out whether your school already offers Pamoja Taught courses. Alternatively, speak to your school's Programme Coordinator.

We’re very keen on students who have been well supported through the online learning experience. That’s actually a very good proxy for the experience when they come to Oxford.
Mike Nicholson, former Director of Undergraduate Admissions and Outreach, University of Oxford
IB promotes intercultural and global understanding and that focus is evident every day that I discuss logarithms with a hundred teenagers from around the world, or am in a live lesson with students from Japan and Argentina, even more than in a standard classroom.
Karenna, student at Joseph C. Wilson Magnet High School, New York
Through taking my Pamoja Mandarin course, I’ve become a lot more diligent in my work because I’ve been much more responsible for my own learning...instead of fulfilling somebody else’s expectations I’ve been fulfilling my own and achieving a lot more.
Chloe, former student at Kungsholmens Gymnasium, Stockholm
