We’re also looking for part-time IB Diploma teachers who have the ability to unlock creativity and curiosity in their classroom and are passionate about helping students to succeed, encouraging them to ask questions rather than recite answers.

Pamoja consists of 175 teachers around the world and 50 employees based in our Oxford office with a variety of skill sets adapted to our departments: Academics, School Services, Product Development, Marketing & Sales, Finance, and Human Resources.
As a Pamoja teacher I have worked in many locations: at home, in hotels, in airplanes, on beaches and even on my grandmother’s ancient PC in Belarus. My favourite one was being on a hotel balcony overlooking Cusco, Peru. I was going to Machu Picchu the next day and I was thinking to myself: I am living the life!
The team ethic I have experienced here is second to none and it has given me a great sense of belonging. To be considered integral to such a supportive and creative bunch of people makes my working life a very enjoyable experience.
Not only am I the only woman in my team, but I am considerably younger than my fellow senior Academics. To me, this demonstrates that my skillset is recognised and my experiences are valued for their worth, not simply how long I had been in a previous role.

I’d been looking forward to working in the dev team as it allows me to develop skills that are easily transferable to my Computer Science degree at Oxford Brookes when I go back to uni in September 2018.

Professional development for IB teachers
Four-week summer programme
We have developed a four-week summer programme to train IB educators to teach our online IBDP courses. The programme aims to:
- clarify the expectations of online teaching
- introduce teachers to the different tools that can be used in their online classrooms
- help teachers learn how to expand the boundaries of their face-to-face classrooms
A supportive community
Our teachers communicate on a daily basis with department heads and colleagues. They have access to each of the subject and help forums and a variety of other communication channels such as wikis and blogs, as well as online meetings through Skype or Google Hangout, or webinars.
Ongoing professional development
Our professional learning community organises webinars and professional development opportunities throughout the year.

Teaching applicants are required to complete and submit an online application form, provide a copy of an up to date CV and written approval from their School Head/Principal or Superintendent of their School District. Note; the system will allow you to upload documents and update your application when convenient. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an initial Skype interview which will typically be held with one of the recruitment team and/or a member of the Pamoja Education Academic team. Successful applicants will be invited to the online teacher training course. Following evaluation of the training, applicants will be informed of the outcome and be advised of potential teaching opportunities and if appropriate, dates for teacher online orientation.
