Pamoja Taught courses are designed to support IB World Schools in broadening the offering of their Diploma and Career-related Programmes. We provide schools with courses taught online by our own teachers, covering the same course content and preparing students for the same assessments as traditional face-to-face IB DP courses. Schools and students follow our own academic calendars, however this has always been one of our key challenges. We understand schools’ academic calendars vary from one country to another and some Diploma or Career-related course requests may come in slightly later in the first term.
New late starters phase
Following some recent school requests, we’re pleased to formally introduce a new phase in our Pamoja Taught admissions process for this academic year. We traditionally allow one month after the start of our courses for schools to register students until our drop date. Any requests after that date would have been considered as transfers, engendering an additional $300 fee to our course fees.
For the 2018-19 academic year, a new late starters phase enables schools to enrol new students into our online courses at our standard course fee. The additional fee will only be applied to transfers from week 9, for which students are accepted on a case-per-case basis in consultation with our academic team. Students joining our courses later than expected are included in a catch-up plan provided by the teacher to support students and minimise the impact on their learning experience as much as possible.
The new phase starts today for schools enrolling students for the May examination session and lasts until the 6th of November. Contact us to find out more.
